Professional handshake after interview practice

Why I am building RISE.

I was born and raised in Wausau, where I saw firsthand how talented people can be overlooked when life experience is undervalued or when confidence is shaken after job loss. I remember family members who had years of experience, wisdom, and ability, but were still passed over because they did not have a degree. One of those people remains one of the smartest people I know, and I have often wondered how much a program like this could have helped him.

That perspective helped shape Fox Cities RISE. I wanted to build something practical and local: a place where people can prepare for interviews, recognize their strengths, and connect with professionals who can help them move forward.

I moved to Appleton in July 2013 and quickly fell in love with the Fox Valley. Having interviewed many applicants, I see a real opportunity to use my skills to help others improve theirs. Outside of work, I love camping with my partner and traveling the country with our pup, Estelle, in tow.
