Workshops we’re working toward

More opportunities to learn, practice, and prepare together.

RISE is working toward small-group workshops that help people build practical skills for work and their next steps. These workshops are not running yet. We’re developing the ideas, community connections, and support needed to bring them to life.

What we hope to offer

Workshop topics will be shaped by the people who would attend and the partners who can help. Areas we’re exploring include:

Job-search preparation

Working on résumés and applications, exploring career directions, and learning how to explain your experience and strengths.

Interview practice

Practicing common questions, trying mock interviews, and receiving supportive feedback before meeting an employer.

Skills for the workplace

Exploring communication, teamwork, workplace expectations, and ways to handle unfamiliar situations.

Confidence and next steps

Sharing questions, learning alongside others, and leaving with a practical action to work on.

How we want workshops to feel

Welcoming, practical, and useful—not another lecture. Our goal is to give people time to try things, ask questions, and learn from people with different experiences.

We want each session to focus on a clear topic and something participants can use afterward. Formats, locations, and scheduling are still being developed.

Help shape what comes next

When will workshops begin?

There is no confirmed workshop schedule yet, and registration is not open. We’ll share dates, locations, topics, and attendance details on the event calendar as workshops are confirmed.
